Is Now A Good Time To Know Me?
From an apprenticeship to a “proper employee”, and once told I wouldn’t succeed at university, to holding a 2:1 Degree in Business. Later considered a “top graduate” and becoming a qualified business teacher in London, now holding a Masters in Education. Why does all this matter? It hugely influences how I deliver my services: honesty and transparency.
When it all began…
Hi, I’m Nick, the Managing Director at DigiVisi.
I left school at 16 to embark on a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship in Herne Bay, Kent. This was when I was introduced to Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). I found it fascinating that making tweaks on and off a website can change its position on Google.
I would go home and create fake websites for various businesses such as photographers and cleaners. Every site had a target keyword I wanted it to rank for in my area. I made handwritten notes (strangely, I prefer it) of different tweaks on each website and measured the impact.
I’ll be honest; at first, these websites didn’t rank very well. It was probably around my 20th website when I had my breakthrough. By then, though, I had a bank of notes. None of these website were for real business, but from the 20th site, mine were ranking higher than businesses that had been or were currently being optimised.
20+ Local Business Owners Trust Me
I always go above and beyond. Will a larger company do that for you?
Focused on developing further…
I finished the apprenticeship with flying colours; I guess my extra practice had something to do with it. Anyway, I was promoted to a “proper employee”.
So, I stayed for another year and started offering free optimisation to real, local businesses after work. This was when the strategy that I use today began to develop as I faced different scenarios with different requirements.
At 18, I left the company that eventually led me to start DigiVisi. I found a part-time position that involved 100% SEO alongside a full-time degree in Business.
This was a fantastic position because it involved fixing thousands of technical problems and creating content to rank for hundreds of keywords. As a result of my optimisation, I increased their revenue by 333.33% in six months compared to the previous year by targeting commercial intent keywords with great search volumes.
Moments before and during the launch of DigiVisi…
I always had it in me to help. So, I became a business teacher. I taught in a Teach First school in London as I was considered a “top graduate”, but I think that’s just marketing to solve the teacher crisis. At this point, I had recommendations from the free services I provided, so continued doing it for free.
Then, Covid hit!
I qualified as a teacher (yet to have my graduation at the University College of London), and my eyes opened.
Six months later, I started DigiVisi and registered with the Companies House: 13325572
I took on clients while managing a full-time teaching position. By the end of the academic year in 2021, I was ready to leave teaching. And, the country. Bold move for a 23-year-old who couldn’t speak any other language.
I moved to Poland and became a husband to the girl who thought I was weird on our first day at University. Surprisingly, I’ve since picked up a few Polish words. Fortunately, though, a lot is in English such as the cardio and weight machines at the gym. Anyway, I’m still over here and the rest is yet to happen.
I used Nick to optimise my website having used cheaper alternatives that turned out to be utterly useless. He reviewed my website and showed me why it wasn’t ranking. I think it was only about a month after the optimisation started that my website started ranking. It’s now in the top three and 80% of my customers find me on Google. 100% worthwhile investment!
So I found Nick from a google search looking for someone to help me with my website optimisation and ranking. Having spoken to a few other companies who quite frankly just gave me a headache. Speaking to Nick was like a breath of fresh air. Without blowing my mind with too much info he simply explained a few things to me about what he was going to do and then completely took control of it and sorted everything out for me behind the scenes So I could actually go about running my business without that stress of sorting websites etc. He’s been great from start to finish. Nothing is too much trouble and my website ranking is going from strength to strength. I can’t recommend him enough.
I’ve been working with Nick at DigiVisi for about a year. Nick is good fun to work with, which is important for me as a self-employed person. As importantly, his approach is professional, insightful and detailed across the whole SEO and PPC space. He is responsive to ad hoc communication and requirements which I appreciate. I have no hesitation in recommending his services.
Over 6-months old…
Like yourself, I kept thinking about the right brand name. Eventually, I had my moment and merged the first two syllables of Digital and Visibility to form DigiVisi.
It doesn’t make sense to have a logo with a separate icon because millions must be spent on brand awareness. However, I like the idea of having an icon as it can convey a message.
With SEO, I place your business on a digital map, which is where the idea for the map pin came from for the letter V. My parents think it looks like ice cream in a cone, though.
DigiVisi is over half-a-year old and has obtained over 20 clients. All of those started ranking within 30-days – some were small jumps, others were quite significant.
Many of these clients are on the first page, with most being in the top five and three organic positions. Of course, the goal is the top three.
